Opt clinics provide reproductive health services for people of all ages, and we prioritize services for young people in a nonjudgmental, supportive atmosphere. Our objective is to help clients make informed reproductive health decisions that will work for them. Our education resources include professional staff and well-trained volunteers, audio-visual and written resource materials, demonstration models and products, and a comprehensive, informed consent process.

The Golden Opt clinic offers the following services confidentially: birth control counselling, presciptions and low cost ($15/month) birth control; screening for sexually transmitted infections (STI); pregnancy tests; PAP tests; as well as supportive staff and volunteers who can provide support and referrals.

A visit to the Opt Clinic is free with a Provincial Health Insurance card (Care Card in BC). Out of country patients pay a one-time fee of $30 on their first visit.

The Opt Clinic is open from 6:30-8:30pm on the first & third Wednesday of every month in the Public Health Clinic (next to the hopital, across the street from the Medical Clinic).
